Web design and SEO packages: what the SEO half of a website project should cover
What a web design and SEO package should cover in each of its 5 phases, from the page plan to the first…
Video & social · Scripts & storyboards
We offer video script writing and storyboards for brands with an in-house filmer, creators or a production partner. Each video script comes with hook options, a shot list, storyboard frames, on-screen text and a call to action, so anyone can film it and it still sounds like you.
200+ clients served 500+ projects delivered
Free script brief review
Three fields and you’re done. We look at what you have, say what we’d make and how, and check it against the problems we see most often:
Your plan comes by email as a PDF. If you want to discuss going ahead after reading it, we’ll set up a video meeting. We use your details only for this review.
Fit
Not the right fit if you want the finished video too; our production and editing pages cover that. This service delivers the plan to film from.
Problems we fix
Long sentences that look fine on paper and sound stiff out loud.
Thirty seconds of introduction before the reason to watch.
A script with words and no idea what’s on screen while they’re said.
Lines that promise results the product can’t support or ad policies ban.
No alternatives, so a weak opening sinks a good video.
A script that sounds like any other brand in the category.
In 1:10 · animated
A short animated walk-through of the first checks in our audit. No sound needed: everything is on screen, and the transcript is below.
What we check first in a video script, an animated explainer of 1:10 with on-screen captions and controls to pause.
How we work
Part one of video script writing is the brief on one page: who the video is for, the one thing they should know or do at the end, where it will run, the length, and the claims we’re allowed to make. For a product, that means the facts we can prove; for a service, the steps and the outcome without promises. If the brief has two main messages, we write two videos.
Part two of video script writing is the hooks. Every video script comes with 3 to 5 opening options, because the first seconds decide whether anyone watches. Each one takes a different route in: the problem, the product in action, a question, a surprising fact you can back up, or a bold point of view. For ads, the hooks become test variants; for organic videos, you pick the one that suits you.
Part three of video script writing is the script itself, written to be spoken. Short sentences, one idea per line, contractions, the buyer’s words rather than your internal names, and natural pauses marked. A spoken minute runs about 130 to 160 words, so a 60 second script that runs to 250 words will either be rushed or cut on the day. We read every script out loud and time it before you see it.
Part four of video script writing is the shot list and storyboard. Each script line gets what’s on screen while it’s said: the shot (close-up, hands, wide), the action, any on-screen text or graphic, and a note for the person filming. Storyboard frames, drawn quickly with AI image tools for planning only, show framing and order so a creator or team member can film without a call. We don’t run studio or on-location shoots: we have no studio, camera crew or set. Live-action footage comes from you, filmed on a phone or camera to our shot list, or from creators we brief for the job.
Part five of video script writing is the checks. We check every claim against what you can prove, every testimonial against a real, permissioned source, and every line against the platform’s ad policies when the script is for an ad. The FTC’s Endorsement Guides apply to creator scripts too: a creator can only say what they actually experienced, so creator scripts are structures with prompts, not lines to recite.
The voice is yours. Before the first script, we read your best emails, posts and sales calls (or interview you for 30 minutes) and write down how you talk: words you use, words you’d never use, how formal you are, how you make a point. Every script is checked against that note, so script 20 sounds like script 1 and like you.
Scripts usually come in sets: a month of ad concepts, a series of explainers, a launch sequence. They connect to the rest of the plan through our video content strategy and content calendar, and we can edit the footage when it comes back. Revisions happen at script stage, where they’re cheap, not after filming.
Ad scripts get extra structure. Each video ad script follows the four beats (hook, proof, offer, call to action), with the hook options written as test variants and the proof tied to something you can show: the product working, a real review with permission, a demonstration. Organic scripts are looser and lean on a point of view, but every video script still ends with one clear next step.
We also write for the person filming. Shot notes say where to stand, what to hold, how long to hold a close-up and what to say if a take goes wrong, so a first-time filmer can follow them without a call. Good video scripts save more time on the filming day than they take to write.

How we use AI here
AI drafts extra hooks and script versions; a writer chooses, rewrites and reads each one aloud.
AI image tools sketch framing and order for planning only, never shown to viewers.
Where it doesn’t help: the facts and the voice. AI writes plausible claims that may be false and sounds like everyone else, so every line is checked and rewritten in yours.
What’s included
Audience, the one message, placement, length and allowed claims.
3 to 5 openings per script.
Written to be said, timed out loud.
What’s on screen for every line, with notes for the filmer.
Planning sketches of framing and order.
Captions, labels and the call to action.
Proof, permissions and ad policy checked before filming.

How we run it
Brief, hooks, spoken script, shots and frames, then checks. Typical timing: the first draft within 2 workdays of the brief, and each revision round within 1 workday.
Step 1
One page, one message.
Step 2
Hooks and a spoken script.
Step 3
Shot list and frames.
Step 4
Claims, permissions, policy.

By industry
For jewelry, scripts lean on the piece: shots of light and detail carry most of the meaning, with few, warm words.
For fashion, scripts are quick and visual: try-on beats, fit notes and a styling point of view, timed to music.
For luxury and high-ticket brands, scripts slow down and let craft and provenance speak, with fewer claims and more evidence.
